Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $518,759)

City of Oklahoma City Police Department Crime Analyst Program. The goal is to increase the Department’s ability to research, gather, analyze and disseminate crime data to identify crime patterns, suspect characteristics, and/or demographic information. These positions also enhance our ability to provide analytic products to assist management in the recommendation of staffing patterns and/or levels based on anticipated criminal activity; and preparing bulletins, and/or disseminating been faced with repairing/replacing its radio infrastructure. The goal is to use 2023 JAG funds to contract for Land Mobile Radio equipment and services. This will provide for a faster, more reliable and stable infrastructure for law enforcement communications. With the funding provided by 2023 JAG funds, this goal will be attainable. Performance data will be captured on monthly reports.

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Land Mobile Radio Equipment and Services Project. Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office has been faced with repairing/replacing its radio infrastructure. The goal is to use 2023 JAG funds to contract for Land Mobile Radio equipment and services. This will provide for a faster, more reliable and stable infrastructure for law enforcement communications. With the funding provided by 2023 JAG funds, this goal will be attainable. Performance data will be captured on monthly reports.

Del City Police Department Command Center Console/Storage Center Project. It is the goal of the Del City Police Department to utilize funding from the 2023 JAG to purchase two Command Center Console/Storage Centers for Police Administrative vehicles. This equipment will be placed in the rear cargo areas of the two Police Administration vehicles and will provide a mobile command center at crime scenes or natural disasters. The equipment will allow Command Staff to be able to better control and direct at crimes scenes and natural disasters. With the funding provided by 2023 JAG funds, this goal will be attainable. Performance data will be captured on monthly reports.

Midwest City Police Department Taser Replacement Project. Several Tasers within the department have reached the end of their useful life and replacements have become necessary. It is a goal of the department to utilize funding from the 2023 JAG to purchase Tasers to be used as a Less-Than-Lethal use of force. Performance data will be captured on monthly reports that will detail each use and associated information.

Midwest City Police Department FBI National Incident Based Reporting System Compliance Project. It is the goal of the Midwest City Police Department to utilize three percent of the 2023 JAG allocation towards training in order to achieve compliance with the FBI’s National Incident Based Reporting System. With the funding provided by 2023 JAG funds, this goal will be attainable.

Edmond Police Department Wellness Unit Project. It is the goal of the Edmond Police Department to utilize funding from the 2023 JAG to purchase Office Equipment for the newly established Wellness Unit. Performance data will be captured on monthly reports that will detail use and associated information.
