Stationary automated license-plate reader (ALPR) system for high-volume roadways and Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) for cardiac arrest patients for Special Service Response Teams.

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Bend Police Department and Deschutes County Sheriff's Office will use 2023 JAG funds for expansion of law enforcement equipment and technology improvements. Specifically, the City of Bend Police Department will use JAG funds to acquire stationary, automated license plate readers to improve criminal investigative and apprehension resources and the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office will use JAG funds to purchase new Automated External Defibrillator units to promote rapid response for law enforcement-related medical emergencies by its Special Services Teams.
