Blueline Trailer for firearms training that include "Shoot/Don't Shoot" scenarios and low light/no light shooting.

The East Providence Police Department does not have its own independant firearms range/facility.  Our department does all firearm trainings off-site at various locations throughout Rhode Island.  In order to maintain the requirements set out by RI General law and the Municipal Academy such as firearms qualifications, specifically shoot/don't shoot scenarios and low light/no light shooting, our department has to rent a trailer each year that can provide us with these capabilities.  In recent years our department has rented the Blue Line Trailer company to provide us the resource in order to qualify our officers during our annual qualifications.  Further, our department is continually hiring new recruits and lateral transfer officers in order to get our staffing levels to acceptable level.  In order to provide these new officers with equipment as well as officers that need new equipment, our deparment is looking to purchase 100 flashlights.  These flashlights will be destributed to new officers as well as officers that need their equipment replacements.
