The City of Summerville will use their JAG funds to cover part of the cost for new SWAT ballistic vests. The SWAT team currently is wearing vests that are expired and in need of replacement for the 21-person team. While this grant will not cover all the cost, it will cover a portion of the cost, and the rest will be funded via other means.
