Pierre Police Department 2023 JAG Grant

The City of Pierre will use the funds to purchase firearms accessories for the Pierre Police Department to better equip the officers for their safety and for the safety of the community.  Hughes County will use the funds to purchase gun locks for patrol vehicles, improve body armor, and improve firearm training through safety and training equipment for the Sheriff’s Office.  Both agencies will use the award to assist in the purchase of equipment necessary to meet our goals to serve the community.
