Purchase of Humane Remote Restraint Devices.

The Tooele City Police Department will use monies awarded through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) to purchase humane remote restraint devices and accessories including cassettes and retention holster belt attachments.  This equipment will provide officers with a non-lethal restraint option for uncooperative subjects without inflicting pain. Training on proper use and deployment of these restraint devices will be mandatory, held before equipment will be issued for use, then ongoing.
