Crime Prevention and Reduction through Community Partnerships and Training

The Town of Leesburg’s Police Department will use their JAG grant funds to coordinate and host the Improving and Understanding Youth and Police Relations Community workshop, a middle school-based training for students and parents focused on criminal justice issues impacting Leesburg residents; host a week-long Youth Citizen’s Police Academy for school aged participants; and provide specialized training for its School Resource Officer unit and the crime and traffic analyst.
