Community violence intervention

The disparate jurisdictions of City of Tacoma and Pierce County will use JAG funds for Community Based Violence Interventions and Advancing Racial Equity to Underserved Communities. Specifically, the City of Tacoma will use JAG funds to support culturally relevant sub-contractors to offer youth violence reducing strategies in high need neighborhoods. Pierce County will use JAG funds to support sex offender records management system in order to comply with state legislation that will increase community safety, cell phone service to attorney staff for client communication, and staff time to support Prosecution and Court Programs.
