Continued collaboration with police consulting services to develop and maintain policies and law enforcement based training focused on promoting trust, transparency, and accountability of our agency.

Grant funds will be spent to collaborate with a consulting service to develop and maintain a policy manual and implement training for the City of Rock Springs Police Department.

The City of Rock Springs will utilize federal JAG grant funds received to continue to develop, implement and maintain Rock Springs Police Department policies which will meet local and national accreditation standards.  Rapidly evolving case law and mandates need to be considered when modifying and revising current policies and procedures, therefore insight and cooperation from experts is needed.  Some of Rock Springs Police Department’s policy revisions were last completed in 2011 with areas such as unbiased policing last being revised in 2016.
