Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $41,084)

The primary activities of this grant project includes the following: (1) secure the necessary locative technology and supplies, (2) receive training regarding individuals to be served and their diminished capacities, and (3) create and implement operation procedures. This project proposes to use radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted from devices to locating antennas. The service area includes identified children, youth, and adults residing in Dakota County Nebraska. Enrollment in these services are voluntary and will be referred by the school, Pier Center for Autism, Alzheimer’s Association, health providers, or families. Partners for the project includes South Sioux City Police, Dakota County Sheriff, South Sioux City Community School, Pier Center for Autism, Alzheimer’s Association.
