Yavapai-Apache Nation Enhancement

Yavapai-Apache Nation is applying for category 2 Drug Court Enhancement funding. Federal funding Request is for $396,720. The Yavapai-Apache Nation is located in Camp Verde, AZ. Service area will include all residents within the Yavapai-Apache Nation which includes enrolled members, non-natives living within the Nation and other Native Americans. All are eligible to receive services if designated by the court. Yavapai-Apache Nation Wellness Court is a post adjudication program that offers treatment alternatives to incarceration and charges dismissed upon completion. Through the Yavapai-Apache Nation's Medical Center participants in Wellness Court have access to full MAT programs and treatments. It is projected that the Wellness Court will have 10 participants per year with 40 over the 4-year period of the grant project.
Wellness Court will focus on NADCP's Best Practice Standards Number VIII, VI, III & IV. At this time there are no additional federal funds being used or requested for the Wellness Court Project.
