LMPD - Public Safety Partnership Capacity Building Grant

The goal of the LMPD Public Safety Partnership Capacity Building Initiative is to foster a culture of safety, protect the public and reduce violent crime fatalities by strengthening the capacity of law enforcement personnel through providing resources to respond to emergencies in the field, utilize the latest advancements in medical and tactical training, and employ the tool of data informed decision making to develop and implement strategies and policies to address violent crime increases. This grant is essential to achieving LMPD’s objectives and highlighting The Bureau for Justice Assistance’s commitment to advancing work that builds capacity, addresses the adverse effects of precipitous increases in violent crime, and bolsters public safety.
