Colorado’s 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln Counties) is requesting Category 2: Enhancement, Veterans Treatment Courts, ADC, funding for Project Service to support its Veterans Court (VC). The total federal request is $396,000 over 48 months. These funds would be specific to the VC. VC is held at the Arapahoe County Justice Center located at 7325 S. Potomac St. Centennial, CO 80012. The purpose of the proposed Project Service is to facilitate recovery and reintegration, ensure community safety, and reduce recidivism by continuing access to and improving the quality of specialized programming for justice-involved veterans. Through Project Service, the VC would expand peer support services capacity, enhance court operations, and enhance critical support services by funding a peer support services through a contracted provider. Project Service would serve 95 veteran clients over the life of the grant period.
