Enhance Digital Forensic Investigative Capabilities

The Sevierville Police Department proposes to implement the FY23 Rural and Small Department Violent Crime Reduction program. The purpose is to increase the capacity and efficiency of the Criminal Investigations Division in digital forensics. Project activities include acquiring digital forensic access tools and associated training; developing formal policies and procedures for digital forensic investigations; establishing a relationship with an independent researcher to monitor, and evaluate progress toward the ultimate goal of reducing violent crime and internet crimes against children.
