White Earth Detox Facility Renovation

White Earth Band of Chippewa Indians is a federally recognized tribe located in northwestern Minnesota and spans the Minnesota counties of Mahnomen, Becker, and Clearwater. With this funding, White Earth will use grant funds to renovate a tribal building to become a detox facility for reservation residents and surrounding communities. The renovated and expanded building will provide a 6350 square foot 24/7 detox center locally. The facility will provide substance use disorder withdrawal management services. Detox/withdrawal management will ensure withdrawal symptoms will be eased, and individuals’ long-term recovery outcomes will be increased.
