The North Delta Law Enforcement Planning District was established in Louisiana Law and is the district for Caldwell Parish, East Carroll Parish, Franklin Parish, Jackson Parish, Madison Parish, Morehouse Parish, Ouachita Parish, Richland Parish, Tensas Parish, Union Parish, and West Carroll Parish.  The District exist to perform functions in planning, developing, coordinating, and administering criminal justice improvement programs within the law enforcement planning district.

Pursuant to this function, and to assist law enforcement agencies within the district, we are seeking funding for 22 law enforcement police cruisers with required equipment, including but not limited to cages, emergency lights and sirens, communication equipment (digital mobile radios), radar equipment, mounted lighting (flashlights and accessories).  This funding would allow for each sheriff’s office in the district, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, East Carroll Parish, Louisiana, Franklin Parish, Louisiana, Jackson Parish, Louisiana, Madison Parish, Louisiana, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, Richland Parish, Louisiana, Tensas Parish, Louisiana, Union Parish, Louisiana, and West Carroll Parish, Louisiana, to receive two new police cruisers, at a cost of $50,000.00 each for a total of $1,100,000.00. 

This project would have a direct and great impact to the parishes noted.  This request would also have no administrative cost at all and all funds would provide direct assets / services to 11 government agencies.
