Public Safety Equipment for Local Law Enforcement

The Colbert County Sheriff's office proposes to implement the Operation Safer Community. The purpose of this project is to be able to provide the citizens and Deputies a safe and more efficient
response time. Project Activities would include being able to Community police by effectively patrolling high crime areas throughout Colbert County. Project outcome is to be able to have more Patrol units throughout the county, making them visible with in the county, this is also going to be able to allow citizens to have dependable, efficient response times to calls for service. The Service area will cover 722 sq miles consisting of Colbert County. Intended beneficiaries will be the Citizens of Colbert County and Deputies. Subrecipient activities would be allowing the Deputies to respond and patrol areas of Colbert County without having to worry about delays due to vehicle downtime.
