The City of Pompano Beach's Community Court Initiative

The City of Pompano Beach proposes to improve the capacity in their Community Court Initiative. The purpose of Pompano Beach's Community Court is to provide holistic, supportive, wrap-around care services to those who deserve a second chance. Project activities include providing individualized case management, substance use disorder treatment services, housing assistance, mental health counseling, amongst other critical services; implementing a robust planning and demonstration team to support clients; integrating partnerships to improve capacity of services; working with agencies that support transitional housing into a permanent housing solution with continued care services for unhoused clients; legal advocacy; comprehensive healthcare services; and workforce development opportunities for clients. Expected outcomes include development of a network of collaborative partnerships to support clients, housing solutions, comprehensive healthcare for clients, lower rates of recidivism, and a second chance for clients.
