Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $196,034)

The Triple Threat Mentoring proposes to implement the Project Safe Neighborhoods in partnership with the Oregon United States Attorney's Office. The purpose is to reduce violent crime in the state of Oregon. Project activities include reinforcing pro-social behavior among those actively engaging in violence or at risk of engaging in violence, strengthen relationships between law enforcement partners and community members and increase engagement with community-based organizations providing social services. Expected outcomes include reduction in violent crime and a stronger community connection. Communities in the State of Oregon that have been most effected by the increase in violent crime, especially in regard to gang activity are the intended beneficiaries of the project. Subrecipient activities include the delivery of services that strive to meet the goals of this project.
