Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $114,403)

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Intergovernmental Services will utilize the Fiscal Year 2024, SORNA reallocation funds to provide the following: 

Request for continuation of efforts towards SORNA compliance, maintaining current SORNA requirements, and reconstructing/building the sex offender registry through a sub award issued to the Arkansas Public Safety Department/Division of Crime Information Center for project implementation.

The Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Intergovernmental Services will administer JAG/SORNA funding for this grant and will pass through the funding on a disbursement/reimbursement basis to Arkansas Public Safety Department/Division Crime Information Center, who has been charged with performing the tasks that would draw Arkansas closer and/or finalize “substantial compliance” with the requirements of SORNA and address the Adam Walsh Act.   Fiscal Year 2024 reallocation funds will be utilized to enhance the automatic data exchange between eOMIS and the Arkansas sex offender management system. Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) also looks to add updated webcams and signature pads to all seventy-five (75) counties throughout the state for complete registry data.
