Kentucky FY24 SORNA Reallocation Program

Although progress has been made toward achieving substantial compliance with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet (JPSC) has not yet achieved full compliance. JPSC requests funding from the FY24 SORNA Reallocation program to pursue efforts to bring Kentucky closer to SORNA compliance. Under this request, JPSC will work with the Department of Corrections (DOC) Probation and Parole (PP) to obtain additional equipment and upgrade technology for improved data collection and integration with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Sex Offender Registry (SOR). Additionally, staff time will be funded for legal reviews and system analysis of the SOR.
