Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program

The Maine Department of Corrections (MDOC) is committed to expanding body-worn cameras across the state correctional facilities to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and fairness while improve the capacity for gathering digital evidence. MDOC will deploy 200 cameras to trained officers, engage in policy and practice improvement, and track the effectiveness of the cameras with the Correctional Information System.
