Lakewood Citywide Camera Project

The City of Lakewood proposes to implement the Citywide Camera Project. The purpose is to expand the city’s network of Security cameras and/or license plate reader cameras throughout the city.  Project activities include identifying type, number and placement of cameras to maximize coverage in the city. Expected outcomes include increasing the number of cameras to areas of the city that do not currently have camera coverage. The LA County Sheriff’s Department, Lakewood’s contracted policing service provider, and the community at large are the intended beneficiaries of the project.
