Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $21,499)

The Concord (NH) Police Department is seeking this grant funding to improve existing technology and equipment that will enhance the police department's abilities to investigate and prosecute cyber crimes.  Grant funding will also be used to purchase a moving target system to improve training by providing realistic scenario-based use-of-force training.  The Concord (NH) Police Department serves as a fiscal agent in providing funding from this grant to the Merrimack County (NH) Sheriff's Office (disparate jurisdiction).  The Merrimack County Sheriff's Office intends to purchase patrol rifles for their Sheriff Deputies. 

Funding from this grant will help both the Concord (NH) Police Department and the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office to enhance public safety by improving training and equipment for both organizations.
