The City of Newburgh (NY) Police Department (“CNPD”) has several long standing, successful evidence-based violent crime reduction strategies in place that enhance community safety, but is quickly exhausting funds to ensure officer safety. JAG funding will complement CNPD’s violence prevention programs by providing funding to support the purchase of helmets and gas masks to support the department’s newly formed Emergency Services Unit.
