License Plate Readers (LPR)

Purchase and deploy License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras in high-crime areas of Lincoln County, Missouri. The proposed initiative aims to enhance public safety by preventing and reducing violent crime through advanced technological solutions. The primary objectives include deterring potential criminals, identifying vehicles involved in violent crimes, and fostering trust between law enforcement and the community. LPR cameras will serve as a proactive crime prevention tool by acting as a deterrent and assisting law enforcement in efficiently identifying and apprehending criminal suspects. Additionally, the implementation of this project will demonstrate the Sheriff's Office's commitment to innovative policing strategies that enhance public safety while addressing concerns of privacy and accountability.
