BJA FY24 Law Enforcement Initiatives

The Manassas City Police Department will use a portion of the JAG funds to enhance its capacity to respond to emergencies by equipping officers with essential medical supplies. These items will allow officers to provide life-saving interventions for victims of traumatic injuries, such as gunshot wounds, stabbings, or other violent encounters. We will also be purchasing a Mission Darkness BlockBox Lab XL, which is a Forensic Evidence Enclosure used to retrieve digital evidence from electronic devices without the possibility of interference from outside electronic signals that cause the devices to be altered, erased, or manipulated to the detriment of criminal investigations.
