Purchase Livescan Fingerprint Identification and Mugshot Equipment

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department would like to purchase the Livescan Fingerprint Identification System. This system will be a great asset to the Sheriff’s Department. This technology will allow us to identify individuals who may not have identification on them and who may be wanted. This system also incorporates the new Iris Scan Identification technology. This new state of the art technology will aid in the identification of individuals. It also incorporates a Mugshot program. This will replace our current Mugshot program that is out of date and support is no longer available for. If it were to ever crash the mugshot program would be unrecoverable.

In conclusion, by being able to purchase the Livescan Identification System, it will give our officers the latest technology available and better aid them in their investigations into the identity of a person. This system also links with the AFIS system which will automatically transmit the fingerprint information to the FBI eliminating the need to mail in print cards of arrested individuals
