This project will purchase law enforcement equipment for the Chilton County Sherriff's Department.

The Chilton County Commiision will use its 2024 JAG LOCAL allocation to purchase to purchase 13 Intoximeters, essential equipment that measures the amount of alcohol in a person's breath. It is important to note that this measurement is always conducted following a field sobriety test. The current Intoximeters in use are outdated and nearing the end of their operational lifespan. Upgrading this equipment is crucial for maintaining our standards and ensuring accurate results.
Additionally, we will be using part of the grant to replenish the medical supplies for deputy trauma kits purchased last year. This replenishment is necessary to ensure that our deputies are equipped with up-to-date medical supplies during critical situations.
