Augusta County 2024 Local JAG K-9 Program

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office plans to utilize the 2024 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Local Solicitation to acquire new a K9 dog under the program goal of purchasing drug-detecting canines to combat the rise of drug trafficking, including Methamphetamines and Fentanyl.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office plans on utilizing this grant funding opportunity to acquire a new drug-detecting canine. This grant will partially cover the expense of a new drug-detecting canine, and the rest of the cost will be covered as a local cash match by the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.
