Purchasing items necessary for the Bentonville Police Department to meet Community Oriented Policing goals and protective equipment for officers.

The City of Bentonville Police Department will use JAG funds to purchase ballistic shields to assist and protect officers and civilians as needed in the line of duty. The department will also use funds to purchase one electric bicycle to further aid the current department bike officer program. This program continues to yield positive results as parts of the city become heavily congested and harder to reach quickly by car, as well as the popular and increasing amount of regular and mountain bike trails that are used by both residents, regional visitors and national visitors who attend mountain bike racing events.
