City of Chelsea JAG FY24

The City of Chelsea Police proposes to continue identifying drug hotspots, deploying officers to saturate neighborhoods and covertly address sources of gun and narcotic traffic. The purpose is to disrupt the drug market in Chelsea, as well as trespassing, alcohol related crimes, “buy bust” operations and long term and ongoing undercover operations in an effort to create a safer and more stable community. This grant will help with the overtime costs of officers who have to work beyond their scheduled shifts when special initiatives are needed in real time.
