Galveston County Criminal Justice Enhancement Projects

Galveston County proposes to promote increased access to justice. The County intends to carry out this proposal through procurement of a defense attorney and legal defense services for Veteran participants of the Galveston County Veterans Treatment Court, an active specialized Pre-Trial Court.

The City of Galveston proposes to strengthen community safety and protect the public from crime and evolving threats. The City intends to carry out this proposal through procurement of tactical communication headsets, evidence recovery dive gear, and ballistic helmets. This equipment will enhance officer safety and effectiveness of crime suppression and reduction efforts within the City of Galveston.

Expected outcomes include increased access to justice, strengthened community safety, and protection for the public from crime and evolving threats.
