Project Title: 2024 Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Project
Implementing Agencies: Salisbury Police Department and Rowan County Sheriff’s Office
The City of Salisbury will use JAG funds for technology improvements by purchasing two Rekor license plate readers and podcast equipment.
The disparate jurisdiction of Rowan County will use JAG funds to purchase an inflatable rescue boat and accessories, and a 4-man water rescue kit that includes wet suits, helmets, personal flotation devices, gloves, boots, water rescue rope and throws, and electronic GPS locating devices.
