Law Enforcement equipment and computer equipment

The City of Lynchburg will use JAG funds for law enforcement equipment to be used by officers in the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and technology upgrades for the Lynchburg Sherrif's Office (LSO) and the Lynchburg Office of the Commonwealth Attorney (LOCA). Specifically, JAG funding will be used to upgade non-budgeted needed ram upgrades in officer laptops, and will assist in the acquition of 3 additional computers for the LPD. The LSO will purchase a new advanced print/fax combination unit, and the LOCA will use funds to purchase a new laptop all of which will aid to maintain accurate case information in prosecuting criminals to the fullest extent of the law.
