2024 JAG Grant Local Solicitation

The City of Abilene will use JAG funds to purchase four (4) handheld thermal imaging devices as a public safety tool to aid in locating members of the community in low light conditions.  The City will also purchase two (2) level III ballistic shields for placement in new patrol vehicles, as well as handheld breaching equipment to be placed in new patrol vehicles.

The county of Taylor will use JAG funds to purchase ten (10) ballistic vests for use by deputies. This will equip additional deputies with the resources needed.
