To enhance the safety of the community by equipping Patrol and Traffic division with enhanced technology equipment.

The City of Florence Police Department will use JAG funds for to better equip the traffic division with modern technology in traffic control and to the ERT (Emergency Response Team) to better serve the community.  This will bolster the department’s ability to safely and effectively provide lifesaving efforts to its citizens.  By increasing the confidence and performance of officer’s ability to actively engage threats within the community with the use of enhanced technology.
