This project will allow for the purchase of items that can enhance drug detection and provide much needed safety to School Resource Officers

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Jackson Police Department (JPD) and Madison County Sheriff’s Department (MCSO) propose to use these funds for technology improvements and equipment. Specifically Madison County will use funds to purchase hard armor plates and rifle plate carriers with double rifle mags.  City of Jackson will use funds to purchase a K-9 as well as a laptop to be used by our Gang Intelligence Analyst.  JPD will also use funds to purchase a golf cart that can be used during parades or large gatherings.
