The City of North Little Rock will use JAG funds to hire a part-time Wellness Intern to support our mental health professional. The intern will assist in crisis intervention training, mental health assessments, and developing proactive wellness initiatives. These efforts aim to improve safety and de-escalation, benefiting both citizens and officers. By enhancing mental health support and reducing stress, the program will mitigate crises and strengthen public safety. Services will also be available to neighboring jurisdictions, including Sherwood, Maumelle, Little Rock, and Pulaski County, promoting regional collaboration and shared resources.
