City of Homestead Officer Wellness Program

The City of Homestead Police Department will use its $55,433 JAG Local Allocation to support its Community Policing Initiative and proactively foster employee wellness by implementing an Officer Wellness Mobile App to address the physical and mental health officers. The app provides anonymous access to mental health, physical fitness, and financial wellness tools, reducing stigma and increasing engagement. The incorporation of officer wellness into the City’s Community Policing Initiative aligned with Executive Order 14704 by improving access to officer wellness programming as a means of increasing public trust and enhancing public safety.
