The Tuscaloosa Police Department (TPD), in partnership with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), is seeking federal assistance through the 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program to support the Equipment for Crime Prevention and Violence Reduction FY 2024 project. The department seeks to increase the number of vehicles in the TPD fleet, as well as increase data collection and communications through appropriate fleet vehicle gear. This project is an initiative to aid the departments in meeting strategic priorities and to expand the departments’ ability to serve and protect the people of Tuscaloosa City and County.
