JAG FY 24 - 

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office (JPSO) is a standalone government entity, separate and apart from the Jefferson Parish Council. JPSO is entrusted with the responsibility of enforcing state and local laws and ordinances within the territorial boundaries of the parish. Along with providing law enforcement, JPSO provides protection to the citizens of the parish through patrols, criminal investigations, corrections, community policing, and support of the criminal justice community, including the court system, district attorney, and other entities.

In partnership with the Jefferson Parish District Attorney, the Jefferson Parish First and Second Parish Courts, the Jefferson Parish Community Justice Agency and the City of Gretna Police Department, the Department determined areas of need for grant allocations and worked to allocate funds to those entities. JPSO chose to allocate our funding to our IT division, which will purchase and install new network switches to replace the current equipment which has reached the manufacturers end of life and is over 8 years old. The Department deemed this was the division which had the greatest need for funding. In order to provide for the safety, security, and well-being of the citizens of Jefferson Parish, JPSO and partner agencies have determined areas of need that will support to criminal justice agencies, including in brief:
