Gear and Equipment for our Special Operation's Units.

The purpose is for the Savannah Police Department  to seek award for The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG). Grant funds will be applied to the procurement of additional and new equipment, which will be utilized by the Hostage Negations Team (HNT), Civil Action Response Team(CART), SPD Mounted Patrol (Mounted) and the SPD Patrol Division Bicycle Unit.
The sub-recipient, Garden City Police Dept must have the neccessary tools to combat the illegal drug trafficking epidemic. One of the most useful tools is the narcotics detection K-9. With the funding from this grant, the department will be able the procure a dual-purpose fully training European Police Narcotics Detection K-9
