The City of Elizabeth intends to allocate its $90,188 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funds to purchase advanced security equipment for the Elizabeth Police Department (EPD) to enhance public safety and manage high-risk events. Additionally, the City of Plainfield will utilize its $36,616 JAG allocation for traffic monitoring and speed enforcement equipment, and the Linden Police Department will apply its JAG funding to cover the majority of the $20,871.40 purchase for a PowerEngage LE Subscription, a citizen engagement and feedback platform. These strategic investments will enhance public safety, operational efficiency, and community engagement across the three cities.
