Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $200,212)
On behalf of the City of Camden, Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Cherry Hill Township, City of Lindenwold, Pennsauken Township, and Winslow Township, the Camden County Police Department (CCPD) will administer the FY24 JAG grant program as the fiscal agent responsible for financial and programmatic reporting as well as coordination of programs implementation and performance metric reporting. The grantee will use JAG funds for police vehicles, support of Camden’s Youth Leadership Academy, victim and witness support through the prosecutorial process, automatic license plate readers, traffic safety equipment, evidence storage, and computers.
Stakeholders/FY24 JAG Partners represented in the FY24 JAG Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) include law enforcement including prosecutors and municipal governmental entities. CCPD, as FY24 JAG fiscal agent, coordinates the collaborative process involving all major stakeholders. These stakeholders propose addressing criminal justice needs including enforcement, traffic safety, prosecution, victim and witness support, youth engagement, and technology to support public safety. Each entity participating in the Camden FY24 JAG Program is committed to addressing local criminal justice needs identified through strategic coordination and project development designed specifically to strengthen community safety, protect the public from crime and evolving threats, and support crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system.
