Improving law enforcement services and operational efficiencies through communications with law enforcement databases, and engaging citizens.

The disparate jurisdictions of Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and Fayetteville Police Department will use JAG Funds for technology upgrade improvement and equipment. Specifically, the County of Cumberland will use this for subscriber fee for air card technology to communicate to and from the NCSBI databases, the state-wide warrants system, and the County Dispatch Center from the Deputy's Mobile Data Terminals in their vehicles. The County will also use funds for Mobile Thermal Printer and Batteries for Fleet Vehicles to have access to print warrants and other legal documentation for service. Carport for the New Shower trailer to be utilized by the BLET cadets. Cumberland County is now able to instruct BLET classes therefore the need of a carport is essential for cadets that are coming from the Shower Trailer into the BLET building. We have recently had to retire several K9's and have gained a few K9's and are in need of 2 Fence Kennels for their safety and protection. We are also going to purchase Heat Monitors for the K9's that will be utilized in the vehicles for regulation of tempurature inside the vehicle.  The Fayetteville Police Department will use funds for safety equipment upgrades . Additionally Fayetteville Police Department will utilize funding for equipment for Armored Vehicles, and other misc equipment to assist with officer safety and safety of citizens.
