JAG 2024 Formula Program - Reno Police Department Joint Application for Washoe County Law Enforcement Agencies

All three of the disparate jurisdictions of the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department and Washoe County Sherriff's Office will use JAG funds to support law enforcement training.  In addition to funding training, Reno Police Department is also requesting to purchase electric assist bicycles for its Mobile Engagement Team and law enforcement software and equipment for its Real Time Information Center. The City of Sparks is requesting to purchase cold storage units for evidence preservation. Washoe County is requesting operating costs for its special teams and units that are not supported by general funds   These JAG funds will enhance operations for all three agencies and build regional capacity through targeted purchases not able to be supported through their annual budgets.
