The disparate jurisdictions of Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh will use JAG funds for important law enforcement equipment. Specifically, the County of Allegheny will use $167,500 of JAG funds to purchase an Internal Affairs software to monitor and manage officer activities, 8 Explosive Ordinance Detection (EOD) team specialty protective vests, 4 speed displays and 4 gun lockers.
City of Pittsburgh plans on using $51,614 to purchase ResourceRouter, an asset management solution. ResourceRouter is capable of analyzing large amounts of data to strategically plan various police activities including directed patrols and crime deterrence.
