FY2024 Edward Byrne Memorial JAG Program

The Municipality of Anchorage, Anchorage Police Department (APD) will use JAG funds to purchase Toughbook MCD Laptops for officers and computers for the detective unit and command staff to replace units that have reached end of serviceable life. The computers will provide necessary specification to handle increase capacity needed with the new CAD/RMS System that is projected to go live in 2025.
Additionally, APD will purchase drying racks for the evidence warehouse to provide improved evidence processing time; audio and visual equipment to provide the community relations staff with essential equipment to foster a more immersive and interactive environment for the Anchorage public and advance the overall effectiveness of public messaging; and travel/training funding for grant management training.
