Tunica-Biloxi Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court Enhancement

Through the implementation and enhancement of the Tunica-Biloxi Juvenile Tribal Healing to Wellness Court, the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe will address substance/alcohol use among tribal youth by providing evidence-based cultural solutions as alternatives to current methods employed by parish/state criminal justice systems. The Tribal Court will follow the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Juvenile Drug Treatment Guidelines in implementing a functional Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court. With the full implementation of a Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court, the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe hopes to accomplish one main goal: implement and enhance the Juvenile Tribal Healing to Wellness Court to provide solution-oriented alternatives to mitigate to effects that illegal drugs has had on our community.
